Evernote, Notebooks, Sharing, Content-ment
I found myself searching for ‘Shared Evernote Notebooks’ like that of the few that started in Evernote’s ‘Trunk.’ These notebooks featured recipes from Epicurious, social media tips from Fuel Media, fun tech projects from Make, and stories of beautiful innovation with My Modern Met. I had created my first Shared Notebook when the feature was released about 2 years ago, and found the sharing of content easy, quick and automated through this platform that I also conveniently used for everyday productivity and note taking. I shared LCH content, but also found myself sharing fun things like puzzles with my subscribers/ subscribers, and that made social media all the more integrated into my life.

I began using Evernote notebooks to distribute content for my campaigns. I needed to quickly send the podcast WAV files of my latest campaign at the time, iDecide2B. This campaign inspired pregnant and parenting teens to be empowered in the face of adversity and continue their education. We needed a platform that gave us the ability to make changes to content quickly without building a website. Using Evernote, we were able to share pictures, links, text, and WAV files, and best of all have an archive of the project that teens could save, allowing them to be inspired at any time.

I recently came across a cool coupon sharing site and realized, that since the coupons came with barcodes, instead of emailing to my friends, I would create a shared notebook. They could then simply access the shared notebook on their mobile phones and scan the barcode at the store. This was easy, cost-effective, green, and made my case for Evernote’s amazing power, that much more evident.
